Travel in your own private First Class compartment, reserved exclusively for your party, and enjoy a delicious Festive 'Steam' Tea served during the outward journey. Featuring a seasonal selection of sandwiches, cakes and sweet treats, together with tea, coffee and a glass of Prosecco, it's the perfect way to celebrate the festive season with family and friends.

As you relax and dine, enjoy the stunning Highland scenery from your compartment before welcoming visits from our mischievous elves and, of course, Santa himself. During the journey, Santa will visit your compartment door, spending a few minutes with your family, posing for photos and presenting a gift to every child aged 10 months and over.

Combining private accommodation, festive dining and Christmas magic, this is our most luxurious Santa's Elf Express experience.

·        Compartments seat up to 6 passengers

·        Tickets are priced by the number of people travelling, regardless of age. This is a package price inclusive of food and return travel for the number of people stated.

·        No concessionary fares available

·        Children aged 3+ count as one of the passengers in your booking

·        Under 3's may sit on laps and do not count towards the compartment capacity

·        Under 3's may sit on laps and require a £10 toddler ticket (includes food and drink).

·        Babies under 10 months travelling in arms or a sling travel free (no ticket required)

·        Children aged 10 months+ receive a Santa gift and festive activity book

·        DOGS: For the safety and comfort of all on board, we regret that dogs are NOT permitted on any Xmas Train service. Assistance dogs are permitted. To ensure smooth access; please carry an Assistance Dog ID card or have the dog wear a specific harness.

·        Unfortunately, our First Class compartments are not wheelchair accessible due to the historic design and age of this carriage.

·        *Please be aware: We always aim to deliver a steam-hauled service however, on occasion, due to operational issues, it may be necessary to substitute for a heritage diesel engine, to ensure we can deliver the scheduled service. Refunds and cancellations are not available in these circumstances.
