Travel back in time at The Strathspey Railway for a nostalgic Afternoon Tea in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. This popular experience includes return travel with a fine selection of sandwiches made freshly to order, freshly made cakes, scones with local jam and cream.
Our on-board bar also has a fine selection of locally distilled whiskies and beers available for you to enjoy as you travel back in time.

Due to the limited size of the preparation area within our heritage carriages, we are only able to offer vegetarian, gluten-free or vegan alternatives. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that our food is free from cross-contact with allergens, including nuts. Passengers with severe allergies or specific dietary requirements are welcome to bring their own food on board.
Setting off at 12.45 only from Aviemore Station Platform 3, through to Boat of Garten and then on to Broomhill, the 1 hour 45 minute (approx) vintage train journey takes you on a 20-mile round trip along part of the original Highland Railway mainline.
We regret that due to health and safety dogs are not permitted in any of our catering service coaches. However, assistance dogs are always welcome, please let us know if traveling with an assistance dog.
