This approximately 1 hour 45 minute return journey offers the opportunity to relax and soak up the atmosphere of Christmas aboard one of our festively decorated heritage carriages. Take in the beautiful winter scenery, enjoy the nostalgia of traditional rail travel and spend quality time with friends, family or loved ones.

Unlike the Santa's Elf Express Experience, this carriage is designed for passengers seeking a quieter festive journey. Santa and the elves do not visit this carriage.

Whether you're looking for a festive day out, a chance to unwind before Christmas, or simply an opportunity to enjoy a heritage steam train journey in seasonal surroundings, our Adults-Only Carriage provides a relaxed and enjoyable experience.

·        Travel in a festively decorated heritage carriage

·        Santa and the elves do not visit this carriage

·        Seating is unreserved within the carriage. It may be necessary to share tables with other passengers

·        Individual tickets available

·        Tickets are priced per person

·        No concessionary fares available

·        No food or drink is included with this ticket

·        A trolley service operates on board, offering a selection of drinks and snacks for purchase

·        An on-board bar is available throughout the journey

·        You are welcome to bring your own food on board, however we kindly ask that you take any waste away with you at the end of your journey

·        For the safety and comfort of all on board, we regret that dogs are NOT permitted on any Xmas Train service. Assistance dogs are permitted. To ensure smooth access; please carry an Assistance Dog ID card or have the dog wear a specific harness.

·        Unfortunately, the adults’ only carriage is not wheelchair accessible due to the historic design and age of this carriage.

·        *Please be aware: We always aim to deliver a steam-hauled service however, on occasion, due to operational issues, it may be necessary to substitute for a heritage diesel engine, to ensure we can deliver the scheduled service. Refunds and cancellations are not available in these circumstances.
