DMU Special Broomhill to Dulnain

A rare chance to enjoy a short journey on board the railway’s classic Heritage Diesel Railcar, travelling from Broomhill Station to Dulnain Bridge along an unused section of the original Highland Line.

Although the original railway bridge at Dulnain was removed when the line closed in 1965, a replacement bridge was sourced by the railway at the former Ravenscraig steel works and reinstated by the railway in 2014. Dulnain Bridge gained national attention last year when it became the dramatic filming location for the Celebrity edition of BBC’s The Traitors, where wagons at the rear of the train were spectacularly blown up for the programme.

This unique service operates on each day of the Summer Steam and Diesel Gala, departing Broomhill Station at 11:30, 12:45, 13:55 and 15:02.

Tickets can also be purchased at Broomhill Station.
